Camping, is there any other way to be at one with nature? The answer to this seemingly naive question is a definitive NO! Have you ever in your whole life taken nature's step of "going camping?" I suppose, and in all fairness, there are literally thousands of people who would, given the opportunity, be thrilled at taking the "bull by the horns" and simply jump at the chance of becoming involved with Mother nature and all she has to offer. It doesn't matter whether you are single, married with kid's, old or young, you can easily make camping your oyster, being at one with what comes naturally in the great outdoors.

Think back and ask yourself this question - when was the last time I ventured to be at one with nature? You may even recall the carefree day's of your youth - but now is the time to have your family around you and that includes your friends too.

Sleeping under the stars is fun, especially when the weather warrants it. Pollution, what's that? Breath in the heady scent of the trees, bushes and flowers. Listen to the movements of little creatures who are more scared of you than you think. The fun of pitching a tent
near a stream or a fast flowing river. The amount of activities you can become involved in
are absolutely endless. For example: Kayaking and caneoing on white water (not for the fainthearted) hiking, mountain climbing. Fishing is - depending on your particular skill, a worthy component to camping and nature.

I suppose its fair to say that before you decide to indulge your fantasies and perhaps joining with others bent on enjoying what nature can throw up, you will need to take some good sound advice of how to go about this sport, we can look at this in greater detail later......

Would you like to go fishing and camping with your dog?

Are you wanting to take your dog fishing and camping with you? If you think you can go camping without a dog, you probably can go camping with a dog and your dog will love you for taking him along. First of all, you need to be sure you are physically able to restrain your dog if he is confronted with a wild animal, such as a snake, squirrel, deer, rabbit, or another dog, etc. Do you know your dog's temperament well enough to feel at ease with him in the wild? How would he react to a new situation such as meeting up with a very agressive dog or wild animal?

Outfitting your dog for a camping trip can be lots of fun. Furnishings from personal backpacks to sleeping bags to personal tents for dogs, as well as water and food carriers are available, and some of these trappings the dog can carry on his back in his personal backpack when you go on this trip. As far as fishing, there are certain breeds that love the water, and they would love to tag along for all the excitement. There are programs for training your dog to retrieve, both in the water and in the open field, and that is just a start.

Be sure to be prepared for an emergency such as a cut, or insect bites, by having a first-aid kit in your camping supplies, and be sure to include insect repellent. If you use a spray, you can spray the body, but take care not to spray near the eyes, as that would certainly cause irritation. You should use a cotton ball or such to apply repellent to the dogs face, head and ears, to repel the insects. Happy camping.

Fly fishing vacations in Arkansas

Arkansas, "The Natural State", has year round fishing weather, with three current world - record fish being caught in Arkansas waters. These record holders are brown trout, walleye and hybrid bass and the state boasts nine species of bass, including stripers that top the 60-pound range.

Fishing in Arkansas is a popular pastime for family fishing vacations, as well as those who want to hook a trophy-size fish or those competing in tournaments. No matter if you are a professional, a novice using a cane pole and a can of worms, a graceful fly rod on a flowing river, or a bass boat racing to a special spot, the "Natural State" offers anglers the chance to land a trophy. To add to these opportuities, the Arkansas game and fish commission operates warm-water hatchery systems and trout hatcheries.

In Arkansas, trout fishing for rainbow, brown, cutthroat and brook trout is a favorite outdoor activity on the White River in the tail waters of the Norfolk, Bull Shoals, Beaver, Quachita and Greers Ferry dams. Mammoth Spring provides cold water for trout fly-fishing on the Spring River anytime of the year.
